Who doesn’t love tacos? Easy, fast, tasty, economical. Dinner is D-O-N-E.
The problem is, tacos can get just a bit boring if (like us), you’ve been making them the same way forever. Plus, we have a vegetarian in our house. Finding tasty alternatives to ground beef is something we’re constantly challenged with.
Here are some recipes we just threw into ClipDish to use as alternatives to our regular Taco Tuesday fare.
Authentic Carne Asada Street Tacos
If you want authentic carne asada street tacos, check out this recipe from Chungah Rhee at Damn Delicious. This includes a simple marinade to give the skirt steak a bit of zing.
Slow Cooker/Instant Pot Chicken Tinga Tacos
If you prefer chicken over beef, check out these spicy chicken tinga tacos from Lindsay at Pinch of Yum. Chicken Tinga is a spicy traditional Mexican dish. You can make this dish using your Instant Pot or save even more time and use a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store.
Korean Street Tacos with Beef and Slaw
Mel at Mel’s Kitchen Cafe serves up this yum-tastic recipe that features skirt steak, a colorful and easy slaw, and a sauce that she calls “the sauce to end all sauces.” (Check out the ingredient list. She may be right!)
Vegetarian Taco Meat with Quinoa
If you want to skip the meat, quinoa is a great meat substitute. The Minimalist Baker shows you how to transform Quinoa into a delicious taco filling, using only nine ingredients.
Grilled Chili-Lime Fish Tacos with Tilapia and Mango Slaw
This recipe from the Ambitious Kitchen is a delicious fish taco with sour cream cabbage slaw.
